Laman Grill; Steak & Bar-B-Que

Name of place : Laman Grill; Steak & Bar-B-Que
Location : Section 13, Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia

I have always wanted to try out this restaurant but never had the opportunity to. So a few weeks ago, my friend Mar and I decided to have our lunch here. Thanks Mar for buying lunch that day.

This restaurant is owned by Chef Zubir, who is a renowned sous chef and is currently one of the judges in Masterchef Malaysia.

If you are interested and intrigued to try gourmet food which is halal and reasonably priced, do come here.

The  restaurant offers a variety of grilled food such as t-bone steak, Australian baby lamb shank (the chef's signature dish), braised BBQ US beef short ribs, BBQ skewers combo platter and many more pastas such as seafood ravioli, frutti di mare and others.

I was quite happy of my first visit, but I do hope to try out the other dishes offered here. For more info and pictures you can visit them at their page in Facebook.

Meanwhile, enjoy some of the pics that I took during my first visit. Some pictures are credit to the restaurant's Facebook page.

Flapjacks

Name of place : Flapjacks
Location          :  Kartika Plaza Street, Kuta, Bali, Indonesia

Last February, my two girlfriends and I went for a great escapade in Bali. Since there was a limited choices of halal food, we did not explore many restaurants.

However, we fell in love with this restaurant called Flapjacks. Since it was so near to our hotel which is situated in Kuta, we only had to walk a few minutes before we reached this restaurant.

The restaurant offers a variety choices of pancakes, waffles and pastas'. We tried the blueberry pancake, it was so yummy.

The pasta dishes were also tasty. The food are also reasonably priced.

So if you are ever in Bali, and near Kuta do visit this restaurant.

Enjoy the pics :)

THE TEAPOT DELI

Name of Food Place : The Teapot Deli

Location : Second floor, SACC Mall, Section 14 Shah Alam

Nadiah and Alysya's birthday happened to be in the same month. Both 9th and 12th respectively. Thus, that weekend my family went out and decided to celebrate with a lunch.

Went to SACC Mall in the afternoon and was deciding where to eat and I suggested to my parents that we should try out The Teapot Deli. I first went here with Mar, for my bday lunch and I love the restaurant ever since.

And my whole family including the kids were so happy with the food especially my dad :) So enjoy the pics.

The yummy tender Roasted Chicken with sauteed potatoes..MY FAV MEAL!!

THE SOFT TENDER ROAST BEEF, my dad was extremely happy with this
And the portion is huge too
Beef lasagne, also very delish!!
Cheese toast, Nadiah loved it!!

Homemade wild mushroom soup with garlic bread

The desserts are also something to look forward to. They have an array of English desserts such as scones, trifle, butter cake, carrot cake, cheese cake ( I love it bcoz it tastes like the one that my late sister used to make), brownies.

They also have traditional Malay kuihs like karipap, kuih bakar and lepat.

So if you are in Shah Alam, this cutesy (because of the English style deco)  restaurant is a must try :)

Tony Roma's

Name of Food Place : Tony Roma's

Location : Sunway Pyramid, Pavillion, Midvalley and others

Maznifa and I were exhausted and famished after The Bodyshop Brush with Fashion event. Since it was our first time in Pavillion (imagine that?) we didn't know where to go.

So I decided to google and found out that Tony Roma's was in Pavillion. Since both Maz and I have never tried any food from Tony Roma's, we decided to give it a try.

The prices are quite pricey but the portion for each food are gigantic. I spent 3 hours to finish my food. It was tasty. Maz's hamburger tasted like pure American hamburger. Super delish!!!

I am looking forward to try more of it's menus. Basically they have steak, ribs, and seafood and it is Western food, my fav!!

Anyway, until I make more trips to Tony Roma's, do enjoy our food pics :)

Super yummy potato skins with cream
Onion ring beef burger, yums!!
Swiss chicken and beef bacon sandwich (a very filling meal)

Pizza Milano

Name of Food Place : Pizza Milano

Location : Level 2, One Utama (old building) and KLCC's food court

I have come to love this place not only because of it's crazily delicious and crispy pizzas but because it is also tagged with very reasonable price.

After having lunch with my family the other day, I just realized that this restaurant has always been a favourite of mine as it was actually another branch from the one they have in KLCC.

So you see, I have been eating this restaurant's pasta for years then. I especially love their spaghetti bolognaise and fettucini marinara. But now I am crazy of their pizzas...

Below are some of the foods that I have tried, enjoy.

Nachos Nachos

Name of Food Place : Nachos Nachos
Location : in the SACC mall, Section 14 Shah Alam

Ok here is another favourite place of mine, Nachos Nachos in Shah Alam. Whenever I have a craving for Chillis' food but is too lazy to go to Chillis, I will definitely go to this restaurant.

The menu is quite similar to the appetizers and starters as served in Chillis. However they do not have  the main courses as they do in Chillis. Bottomless drinks are also available here. And also desserts.

This restaurant is highly recommended to those who craves food in Chillis but is out of budget. Take a look below at some of the menus available.

This is the chillie fries topped with melted cheese and sauce

Quesedillas baked to crisp filled with melted cheese, chicken or beef and onions

Triple plate, a combination of nachos with meat, barbeque chicken and potato skin. A must try!!

Last but not least, bottomless tostada chips with cheesy quesso and salsa dip.

The potato skin also comes on its own separate dish, it is also a must try!!

Paklong's Cafe

Name of Food Place : Paklong's Cafe
Location : Section 3, Shah Alam

This post is kinda special as I dedicate it to my friend, Farhana aka Fab. This restaurant was opened about three weeks ago, and so far I have eaten here four times already. That is a compliment considering that this restaurant is fairly new and all.

The restaurant belongs to Farhana's brother and sister in law. The specialty of this restaurant must lie in the menu of their Western food. They have especially hired a former hotel souse chef in cooking their amazing arrays of pastas and other Western food.

The menu may be the same as other restaurants such as bolognaise, carbonara, marinara, and salmon and cream, but what distinguishes it from other restaurants is the wonderfully unique and delicious flavour of each pasta. You'd be surprised that even the bolognaise is different and not all too sour like other bolognaise I have tasted in other places.

There are also other Western food to try such as their lasagna, their beef steaks, lamb chop, lamb shank, mixed grill (a combination of all meat steaks), chicken chop, fish & chips, seabass with lemon butter sauce.

You may find it mind boggling (because there are so many choices of food) to choose from but it will be all worth it.

The drinks are kept simple with different choices of juices and ice-blended. Desserts are yummy too such as caremel pudding and tiramisu.

Not forgetting to mention, they also have Malay and local cuisines. Quite famous is their char koay teow. Side dishes are also available such as french fries, wedges, calamari etc..

Prices of the food are very affordable and reasonable ;)

Below are some pictures for you to enjoy!!
